chonk privacy policy

Effective date: 15 October 2026.

This policy covers the chonk iPhone app, published by William Neil Maish.

Data in the app

chonk does not collect or transmit personal data to the developer. It has no accounts, ads, analytics SDK, tracking, or developer-operated game server.

The app stores your personal best, control mode, tilt sensitivity, and sound and haptic settings on your device. It does not send these values to us.

Motion controls

If you choose Tilt controls, chonk uses your device’s motion to steer the fish. It processes motion samples on the device while needed for calibration and play. It does not save motion history or send motion data to us. Choose Touch controls to play without motion input.

Sharing a result

If you choose Share this chonk, the app creates an image containing your fish, round score, personal best, and round duration. The iOS share sheet lets you choose where to send or save it. chonk does not send the image to the developer. The service or app you choose applies its own privacy policy.

Storage and deletion

Your saved settings and personal best remain on your device until the app’s data is removed. Deleting the app removes its local data. Device backups and restores are controlled by your Apple settings and may retain or restore app data. We do not operate a cloud backup service for chonk.

Support messages and this website

If you email support, you choose what information to send, including your email address and message. We use that information to answer your request and keep it only as needed to handle the request and any related legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your support messages by email.

This app policy does not cover website hosting, your email provider, or external services you choose to use. Those services have their own privacy practices.

Children

The app does not collect personal data from players of any age. It has no in-app chat, public profiles, or user content feed.

Changes and contact

We will update this page if the app’s privacy practices change.
